How we score & classify
Trust score (0 – 5)
Editorial baseline derived from: signature-verification policy, malware history, HTTPS posture, takedown responsiveness, longevity, transparency about ownership, and update reliability. Community votes are tracked separately and shown alongside.
Safety rating
A six-step scale — trusted → mostly safe → mixed → risky → dangerous → unknown — applied per site and per safety incident, so historical context is preserved.
Site kinds
Official mirror, mod repository, patcher tool, forum, regional store, aggregator, other. A site can also belong to multiple categories (e.g. a mod repository specializing in game mods).
Updating the catalog
Three sources: hand-curated seed entries, scheduled crawls of public site metadata, and community submissions reviewed by moderators.
